Does Claude Code Watermark Code?
Anthropic says code generally has less text watermarking because many code choices must be exact. The company’s public explanation does not support claiming that every Claude Code output has the same detectable signal.

Statistical watermarking needs alternate low-stakes choices. Exact syntax, identifiers, and APIs constrain those choices.
What to inspect
Unicode controls in code can be checked deterministically. They are a security and readability concern, not evidence of Claude’s statistical watermark.
